The engagement

We assist businesses and individuals with tax compliance, advisory and representation. Advice is based on the relevant financial information, legal provisions and documentation available for the matter.

Scope of work

  • Direct and indirect tax compliance and advisory
  • International tax and cross-border transaction review
  • Transfer pricing support within the agreed scope
  • Non-resident tax and residency-related matters
  • Responses, representation and tax dispute support where permitted

Engagement deliverables

The work may include a tax opinion, computation, filing support, transaction note or representation submission. The scope identifies the period, assumptions, documents required and authority before which work is undertaken.

How the work begins

  1. Describe the requirement. Identify the entity, proposed transaction or matter and any deadline.
  2. Review acceptance and scope. We assess the facts, competence, independence and other relevant professional requirements.
  3. Agree written terms. Confirm responsibilities, records, deliverables and the intended use of the work.

Common question

Can a tax conclusion be based only on a transaction description?

A preliminary view may identify issues, but a conclusion normally requires the relevant agreements, financial records and facts. Advice should be revisited when these change.
